OUR STORY
Core-Ability (Pty) Ltd International is a newly established company affiliated with Cor-Ability (Pty) Ltd (South Africa), which brings over 25 years of expertise in integrated health risk management. Our services include sick leave management, medical incapacity management, and disability management and assessments for insurer purposes.
Through integrated health risk management, we not only support employers and disability benefit funds in managing health risks but also enhance the productivity and effectiveness of their workforce.
By aligning our health risk management solutions with employee benefit strategies, we have consistently delivered substantial cost savings to clients. Our team of specialists comprises of health physicians, nurses, and experienced incapacity and disability assessors and managers. They hold internationally recognised certifications and bring extensive knowledge and expertise across various industries.

Dr. de Beer
MBChB; MPraxMED; DOH; FAADEP; CPDM
Dr. De beer is a qualified occupational medicine practitioner with over 30 years of experience in occupational health and health management. He is also a specialist in family medicine and an expert in medical incapacity and disability management. He is a fellow of the american academy of disability evaluating physicians (aadep) and a certified professional disability manager (disability management employer coalition – dmec). With extensive expertise in managing occupational health and medical disability, dr. De beer has contributed to the development of both national (south africa) and international regulatory frameworks – references on request (due to confidentiality laws). He has played a key role in formulating high-level corporate strategies and implementing occupational health programs at national and international levels. His leadership has driven the development and successful execution of occupational health, medical incapacity, and disability management initiatives across several strategic industries, including petrochemical, mining, financial services, and steelmaking.

Dr. Flip Oberholzer
B.A, Hons and M.A. Psychology; D.Litt et Phil
Dr. Oberholzer is a registered clinical psychologist with many years of experience in industry and is currently based in Australia, where he runs his own private practice, the Psychological and Health Institute. Over the course of his career, he has consistently delivered outstanding results across a variety of organizational and psychological domains, combining clinical expertise with a deep understanding of workplace dynamics. His areas of expertise include conducting assessments and providing feedback for personal development and recruitment, enhancing organizational culture and climate, and facilitating effective team building. He has extensive experience in using culture-fair assessment tools that are backed by valid norms and reliability studies. Dr. Oberholzer has also played a key role in strategic planning for companies, performance management initiatives, and advising on industrial relations. In addition, he offers specialized support in employee assistance programs (EAP), serves as a training advisor, and contributes to the review and updating of company HR policies. His work in stress management, communication skills, and leadership development further supports organizations in building resilient and high-performing teams. He has also led numerous international public workshops, focusing on topics such as communication, leadership, motivation, managerial effectiveness, conflict resolution, negotiation strategies, and international labour law.

Dr Jack van Zyl
MBChB diploma in OH M.Med; FCPHM; FAADEP
Dr. van Zyl is a qualified specialist in public and occupational health. He has many years of insurance experience including claims, impairment evaluations, product development and service integration.
